The 2019 Lok Sabha polls would be the first without Tamil Nadu veteran politicians Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi in a very long time.

The Congress looks to have hit the jackpot following their alliance with the DMK. The alliance is expected to win a whopping 34-38 seats. If the odds go in their favour, they could sweep the entire state. The AIADMK and BJP are expected to win a maximum of 4 seats in the state of Tamil Nadu, the India Today Axis survey have predicted.

Karunanidhi’s son Stalin has taken over and looks to have done an incredible job in the state based on the exit polls. The AIADMK swept Tamil Nadu in 2014, winning 37 out of the 39 seats with the NDA winning the remaining 2 seats. The DMK did not win a single seat from the state in 2014.

Todays’ Chanakya has also predicted a big win for the Congress-DMK alliance in TN. According to their survey, the alliance is expected to win 31 out of the 38 seats. The AIADMK-BJP alliance is expected to win 6 seats in the state. Others are expected to win a single seat in the state.

Times Now-VMR has predicted the Congress-DMK to win 29 seats and expects the remaining 9 seats to go the present ruling party in the state.

Republic’s CVoter has predicted a smaller margin of victory for the Congress-DMK alliance. They expect the alliance to win 27 seats while the other seats are expected to go the AIADMK and the BJP.
