Telangana Police on Thursday arrested six of the 18 accused who attacked and killed one auto driver, who was suspected to be a child-lifter in Jiapally in Bibinagar.

On Tuesday night, Nimmala Balakrishna, who was on his way to a relative's place, was attacked by the accused, who beat him to death.

They then tried to mislead the police by concealing evidence.

Meanwhile, yet another incident of attack on an innocent beggar took place in Repalle railway station in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.

The woman was attacked by passengers and vendors on the railway platform on Wednesday night as she could not answer the questions posed by them.

They then attacked her with bamboo sticks till she bled and collapsed. The incident came to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

The police rushed the unknown lady to the Guntur government hospital. Her condition is said to be critical.

Nizamabad Commissioner (in-charge) Swetha Reddy also said 23 people have been identified for the attack on two tribal people and killing one, suspecting them to be members of Bihar gang.

She said action as per the SC/ST Atrocities Act will be initiated against them.

Meanwhile, Director General of Police Malakondiah in Amaravati warned stern action on those spreading rumours and videos in social media creating a panic situation. "We have a few leads and taken a few into custody. The investigation is going on," he said.

However, in the Akkannapet block of Husnabad in Telangana, local people caught hold of a person armed with a country-made sword and few blades, moving around near Malchervu Tanda (Tribal hamlet).

The villagers say that three others ran away into the nearby bushes and could not be traced.

Local police inspector Banoth Papayya Naik said that villagers called the police instead of taking the law into their hands.

The police suspect that the person the villagers caught seems to be unstable and speaking many languages.
