In a shocking incident, a newborn baby’s body was split into two when a nurse allegedly pulled it out with force during delivery. The incident took place at the government hospital in Jaisalmer’s Ramgarh district.

The mother Diksha Kanwar with a part of the baby’s body still inside her went to another hospital. The father of the baby Tilok Bhati, alleged that hospital staff didn’t inform him about the botch-up.

He added that the staff also hid the part of the baby's body that they had pulled out.A case was filed under IPC sections 304 A (causing death by negligence) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety) against two staffers of the Ramgarh hospital. Bhati also alleged that staffers against whom the case was lodged were drunk and misbehaved with them.

Two staffers held

In the statement to police, the couple said the doctors in Jodhpur's Umaid Hospital revealed that it's a case of botch-up during operation. Later the family members approached police and lodged the case.

Sub-inspector Zalim Singh confirmed, "Police recovered the body part after conducting a search operation in the hospital". Police has lodged the case and already started interrogating the two staffers of the Ramgarh Hospital.
