Cong manifesto a 'sham', supports Pakistan: Modi

In a strong statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday accused the Congress of coming out with a manifesto that affects the morale of jawans and promotes the conspiracy of Pakistan.

"Congress has come out with a sham manifesto, which is a planning paper of conspiracy of Pakistan," Modi said addressing an election rally in the Gondia district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.

"The sham manifesto of Congress brings down the morale of our brave soldiers...the sham manifesto of Congress is a note of conspiracy for those who give slogans like 'Bharat tere tukde honge'," he said in a strong-worded address.

Modi alleged that Congress is again hatching a conspiracy to destabilise the country.

"This is their habit....control fully or create confusion," the prime minister said, adding that first Congress had problems with chaiwala and now with chowkidar.

He said the Congress wants to do away with the law of sedition. "When 'urban naxals' were arrested, these people from Congress and NCP were standing with them."

Modi wanted to know how NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, who had been a former defence minister, had been quiet on the issue.
