Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi was called a “racist” on Twitter after she tweeted a picture of crows sitting on a tree titling it ‘crow-yoga’, and connecting it with the dharna of Chief Minister V Narayanasamy outside her office.

The tweet posted at 9.54 am on Monday went viral on Twitter and other social media avenues with hundreds of people calling her tweet “racist” and asking her to take those comments back.

“A member of the media asked me an interesting question. Is Dharna also Yoga”? I said, “Yes, it is (and) It depends on the purpose for which u sit...what kind of ‘Asanas’ you perform, and the ‘sound’ u create?" she tweeted along with the picture.

Many Twitter users interpreted the tweet as Bedi referring to the skin colour of the chief minister and equating him with a crow. Bedi and Narayanasamy have been locked in a bitter battle on who holds absolute power in the Union Territory’s administration.
