Maharashtra not to allow Godse memorial

 The Maharashtra government on Sunday assured that it would initiate steps to ensure that a memorial of Nathuram Godse does not come up at Saparde village at Kalyan in Thane district.

The assurance came from Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil after Congress MLC Sanjay Dutt raised the issue through a point of propriety in the Maharashtra Legislative Council.

Raising the issue, Dutt said   that after coming to power promising ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’, the mask of the ruling regime has come off and it proves that it was actually ‘Muhn pe Ram, Dil mein Nathuram’ (Ram on the lips, Nathuram in the heart) for them.
