"The appointments will be made by March-April 2019. By July 10 scrutiny of the 2.27 crore applications will be completed. We will complete their physical and psychological exams by December-January and by March they will be appointed," he told reporters.

The railways plan to fill the number of posts including loco pilots, technicians and the RPF.

Question papers will be provided to the candidates in 15 languages including, Hindi, English Kannada, to ensure opportunities for candidates across India.

There were complaints that the railways is delaying the recruitment process and job aspirants also staged a dharna in front of the Railway Bhavan in national capital demanding the government to expedite the process.
