A short film Chalo Jeete Hai on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was screened exclusively for Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, his council of ministers, party functionaries and school children at a local theatre here on Friday.

The whole theatre was booked for the half-hour screening, touted as a motivational film.

National award-winning director Mangesh Hadawale has made the film. He said he was inspired by Modi’s life. The film shows Modi's childhood. It is said that the film was also screened at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Friday.

The filmmaker stated that the film is not made to promote the policies of the prime minister. It is about the early life of Modi. “I haa ve special bonding with children, therefore such stories attract me,” he said.

Hadawale said the movie idea came to him after reading a book on the prime minister Samajik Samarsata.

The movie’s child artist is Dhairya Darji and the film shows the period after Independence. It shows how a series of incidents motivates the child to do something for the nation.
