The second phase of the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje concluded at a public rally in Pachpadra at Barmer district on Monday.

Like the concluding day of the first phase of her yatra, here also Vasundhara received opposition from the Rajput community in Chittorgarh.

The second leg of her yatra was marked by attacks by the Opposition in Jodhpur district on August 25 followed by stone pelting incidents in Osian and Pipar areas.

However, the yatra received a good response in several areas such as Pareu and Siwana in Barmer district.

Playing the refinery card at Pachpadra, the chief minister lashed out at the Congress and announced that the rehabilitation of salt mine owners on 850 hectares, acquired for the refinery, will be done by allotting them land in a new area along with a compensation of Rs 5 crore.

Vasundhara said her government renegotiated the Barmer oil refinery project with HPCL because the conditions set by the former Congress government were not in the state's interest.

The third phase of the yatra will resume from Bikaner division on September 6 and conclude on September 11.
