Shah slams Cong for not naming C'garh CM candidate

The BJP president said that the target should not be to defeat the Congress but to erase them

BJP president Amit Shah on Friday said that his party will fight the upcoming election under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Raman Singh in Chhattisgarh and asked the Congress, who will lead them.

“Rahul Baba (Rahul Gandhi) we have decided that for the fourth time in the row we are going to fight the election under Raman Singh. Make it clear who will lead the Congress?

“What are they going to say to mothers and sisters of the state, that they are seeking public mandate under those who make a fake CD. Our mothers and sisters are waiting to give a befitting reply over the fake CD,” Shah said while addressing a public meeting at tribal-dominated Kanker.

The BJP president said that the saffron party has a principle. “We do not indulge in the politics of cunningness or character assassination but do politics on development. People have two options, one who (Congress) had given the slogan of eradicating poverty but instead removed the poor, while the other (BJP) has not given any slogan but reached out to the poor with smokeless stove (LPG), water, power and food grains,” he said.

Patting the Chhattisgarh government, he said that the BJP government has put the Naxal area on the path of development. The dream of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been fulfilled by the state government and most of the villages is connected by road, he said.

Appreciating Chief Minister Raman Singh, Shah said that the chief minister has the courage to go before the people even after 15 years of rule in the state based on the development works undertaken by his government.

After his arrival in Raipur, Shah first visited Dhamtari to meet the saints of Shringarishi Ashram and offered prayers at the Mahamaya temple.

Erase Congress

While speaking at Maatru Sammelan in Charoda, Durg, Shah said that power of mother (Maatru Shakti) would completely erase the Congress.

The Congress party has people who are involved in making sleaze CD for character assassination.

Making a call to woman party workers, Shah said those who defamed women by a sleaze CD should be given a befitting reply. The target should not be to defeat the Congress but to erase them by its root, which can be done only by women.
