After getting Congress chief ministers to waive farm loans, Rahul Gandhi stepped up attack on the NDA government on Tuesday saying he ‘won’t allow Modi to sleep or rest’ till he waives farmers’ loans across the country.

“We won't let Modi ji sleep or rest or sit in peace until we make him waive farmers' loans,” Rahul told reporters in Parliament.

The Congress President said he had been highlighting the point that the main fight in India is between small traders, farmers and 15-20 wealthy businessmen.

“Did you see, we have begun working,” he said referring to the farm loan waiver announced by Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh.

Rahul said the Congress victory in Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Rajasthan as a victory of farmers.

Prime Minister Modi did not waive even a single rupee of the poor farmers. But he put Rs 3.5 lakh crore in his friends' pockets, Rahul alleged.

He termed demonetisation the world's biggest scam and accused the Modi government of stealing from the public, shopkeepers and farmers.

“There will be many more typos coming now,” he said when asked about government's claim on the ‘error’ in the affidavit given to the Supreme Court on the Rafale issue.

“We will force a JPC on the Rafale issue. Why are they (government and BJP) running away from a debate in Parliament,” Rahul said.
