YSR Congress should not 'degrade' the late leader: Congress

Talking about the remarks of YSR Congress leaders that Congress came to power thanks to YSR's charisma, he said, "What about those candidates who lost? Secondly, what about those who had won prior to 2004?"

"I am not saying I won without using Rajasekhara Reddy's picture (in the campaign). The point is they should not degrade him," Satyanarayana said, talking to reporters here.
YSR Congress, however, asserted that nobody had attributed the loss in elections to Rajasekhara Reddy.

"If any one feels that they did not win in the name of Rajasekhara Reddy, they should seek a fresh mandate," Jupudi Prabhakar Rao, MLC, said.

Congress and YSR Congress are engaged in a war of words in the wake of the resignations of 26 Congress MLAs who back Kadapa MP and YSR Congress chief, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
