Minister for Urban Development U T Khader directed the officials to open Shiradi Ghat for vehicular movement after July 15. He was speaking at a meeting on the condition of national highways in Dakshina Kannada here on Saturday.
NH Mangaluru Circle Executive Engineer Subbarama Holla said that the concreting of Shiradi Ghat stretch is complete. About 15 days are required for curing of the work.
“The work on the 5.8-km retaining wall is pending. Vehicles can be allowed after the completion of shoulders and retaining wall,” he added.
Reacting to it, Khader directed officials to throw open Shiradi Ghat for vehicles between July 15 and 20.
