Sale of Monitor Lizards’ organs: 4 held

The Forest Department officials have arrested four people in connection with the sale of organs of Monitor Lizards at Bababudangiri.

The arrested people are Athigundi Shahid, Naushad, Kemu and Sudha. They were caught while attempting to sell organs of male Monitor Lizards.

The officials have seized organs belonging to 49 Monitor Lizards, mobile phones and vehicles. The arrested have been remanded in judicial custody.
