SDM students shine at design contest

Students of SDM Engineering College, Ujire, emerged as top 10 teams at the “India Innovation Challenge Design Contest-2017” organised by Texas Instruments, DST India and anchored by IIM, Bengaluru.

Students demonstrated their product which purifies the air and makes it suitable for healthy breathing. The air temperature can also be controlled, as per requirements. They won the seed money of Rs 20 lakh for product development and to launch the product. Students also won Incubation opportunity at IIM Bengaluru.

The team consisted Ashwini R Kamath and Ashwini M S from Electronics and Communication, Naresh Holla from Mechanical, and Nishanth D Nayak from Electrical and Electronics. The project was carried under the guidance of Prof Mahesh D S.
