Akshay powers Mysore Zone to innings victory over Raichur

Batting first, Mysore, riding on a blistering double ton from Vishnu, scored a mammoth 319 for six in their allotted 75 overs on Saturday. Raichur’s, overnight 85 for one, hopes of closing in on Mysore’s first innings total received a jolt as S Akshay, aided by Kaushik Ranganath (2/33), scalped six wickets to restrict them to 127 in 41.5 overs. Following on, Raichur fared marginally better to muster 155 all out in 58.2 overs, once again Akshay being their tormentor as he knocked off seven wickets.
