Comprehensive Security Plan in place for CWG: Sports Ministry

"The Government has prepared a Comprehensive Security Plan, in consultation with the Central Security Agencies and Delhi Police, for providing security including, against terrorist activity," Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Pratik Prakashbapu Patil said in the Rajya Sabha in reply to a question.

The minister also informed the House that Hindu Rao Hospital has been made the nodal centre for screening of Swine Flu suspected cases, collection of samples for laboratory diagnosis, isolation and treatment during the Games.
"Two control rooms have also been established in different parts of Delhi to keep vigil on the spread of the disease," he said.
Steps have been taken to control environmental pollution, which include plantation of 10 lakh plants and provision for greenery on roads en-route to venues of the Games, he said.

For improvement of sanitation condition in the territory of Delhi, the measures taken include door-to-door garbage collection, removal of garbage collection centres from the city, use of mechanical sweepers, upgradation/renovation of toilet blocks, the minister said.
