President's XI too good for Shimoga

A good all-round performance from President’s XI helped them register a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Shimoga Zone in the KSCA under-19 inter-zonal tournament. 

After bowling out Shimoga for a paltry 163 in 40 overs with Anchith Aiyappa (3/24) causing the major damage, President’s batsmen knocked off the target comfortably in 29 overs, thanks to half-centuries from (Tejas Gowda 76 n.o.) and Milind V Ramesh (55).

Tumkur Zone: 145/6 in 34 overs (Yuvaraj M 33, Praveera V 34; Avinash D 3-32) lt to Raichur Zone: 149/3 in 33.4 overs (Pratik Bhandari 42, Venkatesh Pawar 53, Rajesh Kannur 38 n.o.). (Due to wet ground conditions, match was reduced 34 overs per side). 

Bangalore Zone: 197 all out in 39.5 overs (Vinay Sagar 60, Aditya Somanna 41 n.o.; Darshan MB 3-37, Yodhan Hruday 2-36, Varun M 3-28) bt Mysore Zone: 148 all out in 35.2 overs (Rahul Kashyap 60, Vishnu Priyan 27; Abhijith S 2-15, Aditya Somanna 3-42).

Raichur Zone: 200 all out in 48.5 overs (Chandrakant 58, Raghavendra N 58; Deepak S 4-56, Syed Sufiyan 3-20) vs Shimoga Zone: 29/1 in 8 overs. (Match called off due to heavy rains).  

Mangalore Zone: 101 all out in 27.3 overs (Padmanabh Bhandarkar 52; Shimon Luiz 2-24, Akshay Chenniga 3-6) lt to Bangalore Zone: 104/3 in 21.1 overs (Vinay Sagar 27, Desmond Anthony 36 n.o.).
