Crops in thousands of acres have been destroyed. Lightning struck dead two oxen in Adavi Somapura village and Haveri.
Sanna Sangapura village in Ranebennur taluk has been completely inundated and over 75 persons have been affected.
The taluk administration has opened gruel centres at the village’s primary school. No loss of life is recorded. Heggeri kere, the biggest tank in the district has filled to its full capacity after 18 years and is in spate.
The police quarters situated near the tank has been inundated. The body of Mansur Ali, who was washed away in Maidura tank was found on Thursday.
