BJP continues efforts to get numbers

BJP state President B S Yeddyurappa’s core team is learnt to be working “overtime” exploring all possibilities to create a platform enabling the party to stake claim to form the government.

According to sources, the team continues to be in touch with the Jarkiholi brothers and also with disgruntled Lingayat MLAs, especially in North Karnataka region in the rival camp, to boost its numbers.

The team comprises Udupi-Chikkamagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje, former minister C P Yogeeshwara, legislators B Sriramulu, M P Renukacharya, C N Ashwathanarayana.

Yeddyurappa held a meeting with Renukacharya at the former Dollar’s Colony residence in Bengaluru on Friday.
