CM to convene meet in Kalaburagi on H-K region issues

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday said he would soon convene a special meeting in Kalaburagi to discuss the problems plaguing the Hyderabad Karnataka region.

Kumaraswamy also assured the Hyderabad Karnataka Horata Samiti, which submitted a memorandum, that his government would give thrust to the region’s development. He said that the government would chalk out programmes for the development of important sectors, including education and health.

The chief minister said he would convene a meeting of elected representatives of all districts in the region to discuss the problems. “The government is giving primacy for the establishment of industries in the region. Plans are afoot to set up a solar park in Kalaburagi, agricultural implements manufacturing unit in Bidar, toy manufacturing cluster in Koppal and textile industry in Ballari. The matter will also be taken up in today’s Cabinet meeting,” he added.
