A group of BJP activists clashed with a group of Congress workers in Surapur assembly constituency on Thursday afternoon. Few BJP workers and two police constables were injured in the incident.
The two groups that clashed at Peth Ammapura village, began pelting stones at each other.
The district police rushed to the spot, arrested 20 troublemakers and restored calm. Yadgir Superintendent of Police Iada Martin Maraniang visited the spot for an inspection.
