JD(S) National President H D Deve Gowda, on Sunday evening, visited the grieving family of Hindu activist Deepak Rao who was murdered in Katipalla on January 3.
JD(S) General Secretary B M Farooq briefed Gowda of the condition of Deepak's family.
"No matter how I offer my condolences it is not possible to bring your son back to life. But please console yourself," Gowda pled to Deepak's mother Prema who wept for her lost son.
"The bread earner of our family is dead. My other son is deaf-mute. Who will provide for the family?" Prema wept.
Gowda later told reporters that after a discussion with party leaders, he would decide how Deepak's family can be helped.
