Deve Gowda visits Deepak Rao, Basheer's grieving family

JD(S) national president H D Deve Gowda on Sunday evening visited the grieving families of Deepak Rao and Basheer. Deepak Rao was murdered on January 3 while Basheer succumbed to injuries he suffered following an attack on him, on January 7.

JD(S) general secretary B M Farooq briefed Gowda on the condition of Deepak's family. "No matter how I offer my condolences it is not possible to bring your son back to life. But please console yourself," Gowda told Deepak's mother Prema.

Gowda later told reporters that after a discussion with party leaders, he would decide how Deepak's family can be helped.

Later, he visited the family of Abdul Basheer and promised to get a job for one of the sons of Basheer in a good firm. He also collected the bio-data of Basheer's son.
