Mysore lass among state toppers

Vijaya Vitthala pre-university college has excelled in the pre-university exams achieving overall 98.66 pass percentage. Out of the 224 students appeared for exams, 221 have passed, with 99 distinctions, 110 first class, nine second class and three in pass class.

Meghana N Babu of the college has topped the district securing 588 marks out of 600. She has scored a perfect 100 in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

Swathi S B and Achinthya Sheela Bhat secured 579 marks each to stand second in the college.

While, Amoolya Lois and Karthik M have secured 578 marks to be counted among the top three students, principal Satyaprasad said.

Marimallappa’s college

Puttachari, principal of Marimallappa college said the college has secured 97 per cent results.

Out of 947 students who appeared for the exam, 142 secured distinctions (116 in science, 23 in commerce and three in arts), 526 got first class, 127 students secured second class and 120 secured pass class.

H N Vineeth has topped the science stream scoring 579 marks.

While Nagashree and Swathi have topped the commerce and arts sections respectively.
In Sadvidya college, 515 students who appeared for the examination have passed out of the total 542 students. In all, 220 students secured distinctions and 251 secured first class marks. Sushanth has topped the college under science stream with 582 marks, while Chethan Bati secured 567 and stood first in the commerce section.

SVEI

The SVEI college has also performed well with 94.48 per cent pass percentage in science and 93.33 per cent result in commerce. In science, 25.83 per cent passed with distinction.

Pankajashree has secured the highest marks scoring 584 marks. In commerce, 42.85 per cent student passed with distinction and Prajwal N scored the highest 580 marks (96.56 pc). The college has achieved 100 per cent result in Kannada, Sanskrit, English, Computer Science, Business Studies, Accountancy and Statistics.
