Organisations stage processions, protests in Kolar and CB Pur districts

The members organised a demonstration outside the National College as well as outside the Mini Vidhana Soudha on Saturday.

Senior advocate A G Sudhakar spoke on the occasion, “Our country is placed fourth in the list of most corrupt nations. State and national level leaders and politicians are facing corruption charges.” He added that only a stringent legal system can cleanse the political set-up and ensure that the guilty are brought to book.

Ex-servicemen support

Ex-servicemen in the taluk too unitedly expressed their support to Anna Hazare.
Walking in a procession on the main road of Bagepalli and then gathering outside the Mini Vidhana Soudha, they shouted slogans in support of the social activist.

In Shidlaghatta

Citizens displayed their support of Anna Hazare by forming a human chain near the bus stand on Saturday.

They even cried out slogans supporting Hazare and objecting to corruption in the political system.

In Malur

Members of organisations, who had been protesting for three days in tandem with Hazare’s fast in New Delhi, had victory processions on Saturday.

Walking down the main roads in the town, the protesters celebrated the success of Hazare’s campaign demanding implementation of the Bill.

Plastic recycling unit taluk president Muniswamy, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike president S Prakash and students of the Government First Grade College, Malur, were among the participants.
