Rain decreases in Chikmagalur

The district witnessed comparatively lesser rainfall on Tuesday. However, stray incidents of property damage were seen in the district.

A house belonging to Manjunath, resident of Mudigere taluk, Banakal hobli, Hegudlu village has been partially damaged causing an approximate loss of  Rs 10,000.

The district had registered 1,263.3 mm of rain on Monday, while it decreased to 649.3 mm on Tuesday. The rainfall details in other taluks of the district are as follows- Chikmagalur taluk- 8.9 per cent, Kadur- 2.6 per cent, Koppa- 34. 7 per cent, Mudigere- 33 per cent, NR Pura- 12.4 per cent, Sringeri- 40. 9 per cent and Tarikere taluk- 3 per cent.
