When film stars descend on Mysore

The film crew of ‘Kalla Malla Sulla’, a Kannada multi-starrer with ‘Crazy star’ V Ravichandran, Ramesh and Vijay Raghavendra in the lead, met audience at Woodlands theatre here. However, it was only Vijay Raghavendra and Ragini Dwivedi, who could make it along with the director of the flick Uday Prakash. Ragini plays the role Bipasha Basu played in ‘No Entry’ the original.

Upon seeing the characters in front of them in real, audience — especially youngsters — who till then had watched them on screen, went gaga and yelled ‘Tuppa tuppa..’ Ragini shaking legs with Ravichandran for the peppy song is one of the highlights. Mandya Ramesh who has also essayed a role ‘Nimbe huli’ was also not behind, when it came to fans.

Vijay Raghavendra told mediapersons that it’s a perfect entertainer with all ingredients of a movie. Ragini who was also buoyed by the kind of response generated, thanked cine-lovers. On her item song all she had to say was: “it was the result of hard work”.

If that was at Woodland theatre after morning show, at Lido cinema hall — exactly opposite — the crew of ‘Allide Nammane Illibande Summane’ interacted with audience after matinee. Gopi Peenya who has wielded the megaphone for the first time was ecstatic. “The movie is slowly picking up with more of family audience coming to the theatres”, said Gopi. He admitted that they had failed on publicity front, but was confident of wooing the audience in more numbers gradually.

Dattatreya who is popular as Dattanna in Sandalwood had a point: “the movie is exactly for youths and NRIs, who form the crux of the story”. For NRIs, the movie promises nostalgic tour, he added.

Another debutant Sriraj the hero, writer Sudhakar Hosalli and others were present.
