Don't arrest Arjun until Dec 11: HC to police

The High Court of Karnataka on Wednesday extended the interim order directing the Cubbon Park police not to arrest actor Arjun Sarja till December 11.

The court was hearing a petition filed by Sarja seeking quashing of the FIR registered against him on the basis of the sexual harassment complaint filed by actor Sruthi Hariharan

In the previous hearing, the court had directed the police not to arrest Sarja till November 28. It had also allowed the police to continue the investigation in the case.

The government counsel also submitted that the police would not take any precipitative action.

Sarja in his petition alleged that the case and complaint filed by Sruthi were a classic case of abuse of law.

The court adjourned the hearing till December 11.
