The Hubballi-Dharwad West MLA Arvind Bellad has said that the proposed Indian Institute of Technology would come on 500 acres at Mummigatti on the outskirts of Dharwad.
Bellad said Union Minister Ananthkumar, Lok Sabha member Pralhad Joshi and former chief minister Jagadish Shettar had prevailed upon the Centre for setting up an IIT in Dharwad.
“With this, a long-cherished dream of Dharwad people has been met,” he said.
