The Byatarayanapura police have prepared a B report within five days of registering a case against Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar and others on charges of not clearing the advertisement hoardings.

On September 24, BBMP assistant revenue officer Muthuraj filed a case against D K Shivakumar and the police completed the investigation by September 29 and prepared a report saying, “There is no proof against D K Shivakumar. He is innocent and even the complainant has given the same statement.”

A police officer from Byatarayanapura told DH, "The banners are removed and the final report of the case was submitted to the court on October 4.”

The FIR lodged at Byatarayanapura police station stated: “Despite several notices to remove the banners put up at the property belonging to D K Shivakumar in Pantharapalya near Mysuru road, they have not been removed.”

Muthuraj told DH: “The police have prepared a B report and the banners too have been removed." The FIR was filed under the Karnataka Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act. When DH tried to contact Shivakumar for a comment, he was not available.
