K R Nagar police have registered a model code of conduct (MCC) violation case against Forest Minister R Shankar for using his official vehicle.
The MCC is in place in K R Nagar taluk as it comes under the Mandya Lok Sabha segment, which will go for byelections on November 3.
According to K R Nagar tahsildar Nikhita Chinnaswamy, “The minister used his vehicle and escort in the taluk. The movement of the official vehicle has been captured on the CCTV camera installed at a checkpost,” she informed.
