Ghastly car crash leaves four dead, seven hurt

Four people were killed and seven others were injured in a ghastly highway accident in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

In the mishap which occurred at about 1.30 am, near Javanagodanahalli, Hiryur taluk, a speeding car collided with a parked truck.

The deceased have been identified as Saddam Hussain (22), Tousif Ahmed (24), Shah Rukh (20) and Saddam (21)-- all hailing from Tamil Nadu.

Abdul Rahim (19), Mohammed Ali (20), Syed Meeran (20), Asif Ahmed (20) are among those injured and admitted to hospital.

Police said that the youngsters were returning home to Tamil Nadu after a Goa trip.

The Hiryur police visited the spot.
