The government on Tuesday issued an order releasing Rs 760 crore for the reconstruction of 3,386 government-run schools in 26 flood-hit districts.
This is in response to a proposal submitted by the department of primary and secondary education. The funds will be released from Nabard grants and the department will reconstruct 6,469 classrooms, according to the order.
