Senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa said JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda and family have taken a contract, on behalf of entire Karnataka, of crying.

Speaking to media persons at Hubballi on Tuesday, Eshwarappa said Deve Gowda has realised that all his family members, including him, are going to lose the three seats on which they are contesting. “This is why he and his Chief Minister son H D Kumaraswamy are crying at public rallies. However, the people of Karnataka have made up their mind and on May 23 they will ensure that the entire family ‘really’ cries over the defeat.”

He reiterated that BJP did not give the ticket to Muslims as the members of that community did not trust the party. He stressed that his party would not give ticket in future too. He said, he has not spoken ill against Christians and it was the Congress party, which is spreading fake news against him.

He called Congress the most divisive party in India, as it was this party that resulted in the partition of India, and has been dividing the country on religious line. “Which party is making an effort to divide Lingayat and Veerashiva communities,” he said and added while Deve Gowda is seeking votes of entire Vokkaliga community, Siddaramaih is backing on Kuruba votes and M B Patil and Vinay Kulkarni seeking Lingayat votes. “The people of Karnataka have to understand, who are the real communal forces,” he said and added that BJP is the only party which is saying that all of them belong to Hindu religion.
