Home Minister K J George on Thursday said he was not aware of the suspension of a Mysore police inspector who had registered an attempt to murder case against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son, as well as Mysore Police Commissioner K L Sudheer going on leave.

“I am not aware of the incident as it is purely a departmental matter,” he told reporters here. “I don’t want to interfere in the day-to-day affairs of the Police department. However, if anybody officially brings the incident to my notice, I will act as per the rules”, George said.

Nazarbad police station inspector G N Mohan was suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. However, it was said that the inspector was suspended for booking a case against Rakesh, elder son of the CM.
