The padayathra was started from Pravasi Mandir on Thursday and culminated at Ganganamakki Handpost.
Responding to the programme people came forth in large numbers to donate. Coffee Board former vice-president Kenjige Keshava handed over cheque for Rs 10,000 on the spot. Tahshildar Shivegowda, State BJP Executive Member Pranesh, Keshav, Congress Block Congress President Jayaram, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike State Convener Bharathi among others were present.
