Stage set for grand finale of Halli Cricket

Winners of tourney will recieve a trophy and cash prize of ` 3 lakh

The quarter finals, semi finals and the finals will be played on Sunday.

The tournament took place in the abundant paddy fields adjacent to Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple at Badagayedapadavu near Mijar, which had been specially leveled to hold three cricket pitches.

As per the rules of the village cricket tournament, the players had to observe strict dress protocols, which included compulsorily wearing white mundu, white T-shirt and mundas (turban).

The winners of the tourney will get Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Trophy and Prize money of Rs 3 lakh.

The second prize winners will take home prize money of Rs 1.5 lakh, while the best batsman, best bowler and best all rounder will all get Rs 10,000 each.

A special prize of Rs 15,000 will be given to the best dressed team too.

As many as 100 teams had turned up for the tournament.
