Taluk-level sports meet in Virajpet

He was speaking after hoisting flag at the taluk-level sports meet of primary and high schools organised by Kodagu ZP, Public Instructions Department and Taluk Physical Education Teachers’ Association. He advised students to develop interest in sports activities besides academics.DDPI Narasimhaiah said sports meets are helpful to identify the latent talents among the students. They also help students to avail opportunities at the state and national-levels, he observed.

Presiding over the function, Town Panchayat President Kanthi Belliappa said sports is necessary for a health society. Sports also helps students to attain a disciplined life.
