Expulsion of Youth Cong leader opposed

The move to expel district Youth Congress committee general secretary Murugan is a one-sided decision, the committee office-bearers charged on Thursday.

Committee president Hanif Sampaje told reporters in Madikeri that a complaint will be submitted to the Human Rights Commission, against the police officer’s order.

Sampaje further pointed out that many BJP leaders were facing cases under Sections 307 and 506. “A probe should be initiated into the same case by the superintendent of police,” he said.

District Youth Congress Committee vice president Vivek Raj and city committee secretary Rahul Marshal were present.
