One killed, three hurt in car collision in Mangaluru

A man was killed, while three others were injured in a collision between two cars near Adyar Kannur in Mangaluru on late Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Farooq.

One of the injured is Mohammad Haneef, while names of two others are yet to be ascertained.

According to the police, Haneef drove the car recklessly and lost control over it when he approached a masjid. He failed to notice a car parked on the roadside and crashed into it. Farooq, who was sitting in the rear seat of the car what was parked, was killed on the spot.

The injured are being treated at a hospital. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
