Pejawar seer for ordinance on Ram temple

The Centre should promulgate ordinance to build Ram Temple at Ayodhya, demanded Vishwesha Theertha Swami of Pejawara Mutt on Tuesday.

The seer, who was here to inaugurate Vedic-Vedantic Studies and Research Centre at the mutt’s Delhi branch premises, told reporters that either the Centre should promulgate an ordinance or pass a law in winter session of Parliament to build the temple. “If anyone opposes the ordinance, I am ready to stage a dharna peacefully,” he said.

He also demanded the Centre to seek public opinion on construction of temple at Ayodhya. “If public opinion comes against the temple, we will also drop our demand to construct temple,” he said.

The political parties should not ignore public sentiment on this issue, he said.
