Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Narayan Gowda faction) members staged protests in Raichur and Ramanagar opposing the demand for separate North Karnataka state.
They also demanded the state government to implement schemes for comprehensive development of the state.
In Raichur, the protesters took out a procession from tahsildar's office to deputy commissioner's office.
Progressive Organisations of Hyderabad-Karnataka also backed the protest.
In Ramanagar, the protesters submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner. The police had made tight security arrangements to thwart any attempt of violence.
