We will solve Mahadayi row in 6 months if voted to power: Shah

Last Updated 06 May 2018, 17:20 IST

BJP national president Amit Shah has declared that the BJP will take measures to resolve the Mahadayi issue, within six months of coming to power and Mahadayi water would flow to Karnataka.

Addressing an election rally at Saundatti in Belagavi district on Sunday, Shah said that the “egoistic approach” of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was the reason for non-resolution of the dispute. He alleged that Siddaramaiah did not behave cordially with the chief ministers of neighbouring states.

He said that the BJP would settle the dues of sugarcane growers within 100 days of coming to power and would also take steps to arrest the killers of Hindu activists in the state.

Shah said that Chief Minister Siddaramaih remembers controversial Tipu Sultan rather than local icons such as Rani Channamma, Belawadi Mallamma, Sangolli Rayanna.
