Learn tech skills to prepare for the future

Last Updated 08 March 2021, 16:55 IST

Of late, more and more people are inclined towards e-learning, especially for courses related to machine learning (ML), data analytics and blockchain, as technology and digitisation continue to boom. Apart from teaching, these courses offer several features such as knowledge, professional internships, individual career coaching and job search support.

ML is based on computer algorithms. The course involves developing computer programmes that can not only access data but also use it for future references and benefits. In other words, we can power programmes that can be effortlessly updated and modified with ML and eventually get things done speedily and proficiently. The course is beneficial for business aspirants to drive their business growth and build expertise in data science. This is primarily because all industries now have a multitude of applications in machine learning.

On the other hand, blockchain is a distributed ledger technology which allows storage of data on thousands of servers on a global scale while permitting anyone on the network to see everyone else's data. It also allows legit and secure transactions by point to point network. The technology now dominates most domains.

Despite exponential growth these fields face a skill shortage in the market. So, it is time to gain expertise in these, ideally through MLBDA (machine learning, blockchain and data analytics) courses.

E-learning in India has seen an upward trend owing to the rapid increase in internet connectivity and the pandemic. In the future, a robust internet ecosystem, along with local and global players, will enable deeper penetration of these courses.

Here are a few reasons why e-learning is thriving in India:

There is a course for everyone: Best suited for everyone, this digital revolution is bringing rapid changes in how the content is consumed and shared. People can access e-learning courses at a time convenient for them.

Modern learning: A prime benefit is that you get access to updated content completely in sync with modern learners.

Quick lessons: E-lessons save time and offer more in the same time as compared to the traditional methods. This is because lessons start quickly and end in a single session. The process is therefore complete within a designated time. E-learning also allows learners to define their own speed of learning.

Effectiveness: Apart from having a positive influence on an organisation’s profitability, e-learning makes it easy to absorb the content and process it.
