Google Pixel 10 launch: Live stream updates and more

Google is all geared up to launch a new line of Pixel hardware next month on August 20 at 1:00 pm ET (10:30 pm IST) in New York City.

Google earlier this week revealed that there are now more than one million active Google devices, including Pixel phones, watches, wearables, and other smart gadgets.

Now, the company is all geared up to launch a new line of Pixel hardware next month on August 20 at 1:00 pm ET (10:30 pm IST) in New York City.

Like the previous years, Google will live-stream the entire programme on its official Google Store and YouTube channel. The streaming link will get active as we get closer to the D-day.

The company has also revealed that there will be a special launch event the next day in India on August 21.

Google's official teaser has given a sneak peek at the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro. Besides the two devices, two more phones-- Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold-- along with Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 3 are also expected to make their debut next month.

All four Pixel 10 variants are said to come with Google's proprietary Tensor G5 chipset. It will come with big upgrades to deliver lag-free performance and be able to run generative Artificial Intelligence features such as Gemini Live, and computational photography tools such as Magic Editor, without any lag-ness as such.

Further, for the first time, Google is expected to offer a regular Pixel phone, in this case Pixel 10 with triple camera. Previous editions missed telephoto lens. This will allow users to capture loss-less optical zoom pictures.

Also, new Pixel 10 series phones are expected to come with improved and brighter display panels compared to their predecessors.

All the Pixel phones will run Android 16 out-of-the-box.

Also, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will get a bigger battery than its predecessor.

Further, the new Android foldable phone will come with more durable build materials and will feature an IP68 rating, a first for a foldable Pixel series phone to date.

It will be able to survive an accidental fall in a water body like a swimming pool for up to a depth of 1.5 metres (around five feet) for close to 30 minutes.

The new Pixel Watch 4 is said to come with improved health tracking capabilities and deliver longer battery life.

And, the new generation Pixel Buds series premium truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are expected to come with enhanced Active Noise Cancellation capability and offer stable wireless connectivity with the companion phone.
