Several farmers on September 23 blocked GT Road in Kurukshetra demanding immediate procurement of paddy crop.
The agitators claim that their crops are being damaged due to rain and if not procured in time, they can incur heavy losses. Some protesting farmers even tried to remove police barricades on the road. The protest was led by Haryana BKU (Chaduni) chief Gurnam Singh Chaduni.
