India reported 1,59,632 fresh Covid-19 cases and 40,863 recoveries in the last 24 hours, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on January 09. The country's active caseload currently stands at 5,90,611. The current recovery rate at 97.30 per cent. 3,623 cases of Omicron variant of coronavirus have been reported in the country so far. Out of this, Maharashtra topped the list with 1009 confirmed cases followed by Delhi (513 cases) and Kerala (333 cases).
