Kharge demands Insurance Amendment Bill 2021 to be sent to Parliamentary standing committee

Rajya Sabha on March 18 passed the Insurance Amendment bill 2021, which aimed to raise the limit of foreign investment in an Indian insurance company. All India Congress Committee General Secretary and Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge demanded to send the Insurance Amendment bill 2021 to the standing committee as it has flaws. He said that they have introduced a provision of ownership and control to foreigners.“If FDI comes, there'll be West India Co. brought in by Modi Ji to help people from Gujarat,” Kharge added.
