Baloch and other human rights activists from Pak staged a protest on March 15 outside the UN office in Geneva. The protestors raised the issue of growing human rights violations and the spread of religious extremism in Balochistan.

In this matter, demonstrators demanded the UN’s intervention in Balochistan. Organized by BHRC, protesters were holding “Baloch lives matter”, and “Stop the genocide in Balochistan” banners. The demonstration was staged during the ongoing 52nd session the of UN Human Rights Council.

Representatives from various human rights organisations highlighted the worsening situations in Balochistan.

Representatives blamed Pak’s security forces for enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch socio-political activists.

Meanwhile, BHRC submitted two separate petitions to UN Secretary-General and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The Baloch protesters were joined by Sindhi, Pashtun, and Kashmiri political activists, as they blamed Pak for silencing the voices of dissent.
